Introduction to Coursework 7/12/10
1. Read through the powerpoint below, this outlines the brief for your AS coursework.
2. Take notes based on the magazine analysis at the end.
3. Look at the coursework examples opposite H2, displayed in the corridor. Make sure you are quiet as other lessons will be taking place.
4. Answer the following questions, in detail, and bring your notes to next lesson.
- Why, do you think, the magazine covers are successful?
- How do the covers follow the conventions of magazine covers/double page spreads.
- Do any of the examples break the conventions? If so, what is the effect of this and does it work?
- Identify the genre of each magazine, is it obvious at first glance? Why?
